Topic: God our Sheperd

Opening Scripture: psalm 23:1- “The Lord is my Shepard I shall not want”

Sometimes we make some things so common, we tend to under value it’s effect. Psalm 23 is a scripture just anyone can quote even children as well, but do we really understand the efficacy of this scripture?, David got to a point in His life while following God and He discovered that he shall not want. What does it mean to want? It simply means to lack or be short of something desirable or essential, now David said he’s not going to experience any of that, in other words, he was going to enjoy abundance, he knew he was never going to lack anything essential. Why was this so? He knew who his Sheperd was, he knew the capability of his Sheperd so he said with all boldness ‘The Lord is my Sheperd I shall not want’; not the Lord is my Sheperd I shall not want somethings.
Take note also that to have someone as your sheperd simply means you’re a sheep, you have to be following your sheperd for Him to be able to provide for you. David was God’s sheep, and God was his Sheperd, no Sheperd is responsible for a sheep that’s not among his flock, so you need to follow God to experience the realm David enjoyed. No one follows God and still remain in wants. He has all we want in abundance, children, finances, marriage, better job, sound health, business breakthrough; all you need do is to follow this Sheperd and gain access to His provisions. Friends, God is not irresponsible.Anyone under his covering is certainly covered. Now you understand, so you can look at that challenge in the face and declare over it ‘the Lord is my Sheperd I shall not want’, but most importantly you must be His sheep. Remain Blessed.

Lesson for the day- as God’s sheep we are totally cared for.

Quote for the day- Challenges are what make life interesting. Overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.

Lifeforce prayer: May the Lord teach me His ways so that I can live according to His truth in the name of Jesus. I refuse to end my life’s journey with regrets in Jesus name.
I receive grace to maximise my life; I shall not disappoint my God in the name of Jesus.Amen!!!
