Topic: The Good Fight.

Opening Scripture:2timothy 4:7-“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

For every fight in the ring, there is always a prize to be won. No fight is set in place without the prize in place. So also is life, by now we should know that life is a war-fare not a fun-fare (Ephesians 6:12). If you treat life casually you would definitely end up as a casualty. Only those who fight are permitted to triumph.
Apostle Paul was one won who fought and triumphed 2timothy 4:7-“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Remember we said earlier for every fight there is a prize, therefore he went further to say in verse 8 because he had fought his fight well -“finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous Judge will give me on that Day and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing”. Friends am glad to announce to you that as long as you stick with God, holding fast to His promises, refusing to compromise your faith there is a crown laid up for you in Heaven.
This christian race is a glorious one therefore the wicked would want to see otherwise that’s why apostle said in 1 Corinthians 16:9- ‘ a door of great opportunity stands wide open for me but there are many opponents.(Net Bible). So we need to keep fighting to see our opponents fall, you don’t play with your opponents, you war against them. It’s my joy to announce to you that with God on our side we are sure to win Romans 8:31-“what then shall we say to these things? If God is for us who can be against us?”. Keep up the good fight your crown of glory awaits you.

Lesson s the day- our fight as christians is not in vain God has a reward for us all.

Quote for the day- ‘fight the good fight of faith’

Lifeforce prayer: Lord, I thank You for everything You have done for me. Watch over us tonight and give us a sound sleep so that by tomorrow we will have every course to say, ‘Thank You Father’ for the gift of life. Whatever is in my hand right now that appears too small to meet my need, I decree that it shall multiply into abundant supplies in the name of Jesus. Oh God my Father, release divine passion into my soul; pour out the spirit of grace and supplication upon me in a new way today, in the name of Jesus.
Father, by your grace and mercy, deliver me from lukewarm-ness! I refuse to be an on looker in my life! My own change must come this year in Jesus’ mighty name! Amen!!!
